Why WE give
🤲 GIVING IS WORSHIP-DRIVEN
Jesus wants your heart, not your money (Mark 12:30). Ultimately, God desires devotion (faith), not obligation (works). That being said, how we use things like our time, talent, and treasure are good indicators of the condition of our heart (Matthew 6:21). In other words, giving is the natural response of a grateful heart. This means it is part of our spiritual worship, not the result of guilt or pressure (2 Corinthians 9:7).
🌎 GIVING IS MISSION-MINDED
Our members give through Bay Hills, not to Bay Hills. God uses the generosity of our members to support our mission across the street and across the globe. Giving enables us to love and serve our community through the various ministries and programs we offer. This includes caring for our neighbors, supporting local nonprofits, and strengthening churches worldwide (Acts 2:44-47).
🪞 GIVING IS IMAGE-BEARING
We are generous because God is generous (James 1:17). In fact, He gave everything in the person and work of Jesus (John 3:16). We are called to imitate that generosity to a world He loves (Ephesians 5:1) as legitimate evidence of that love (John 13:35).
